    This is still acrylic, isnt¿

    The following steps of a underpainting are very thin washes of pure colour? cant wait to see the process :)

    This is now traditional oils. I am using Burnt Umber and Titanium White at this stage. And yes, at this stage I am painting very very thin, with no medium added yet.

  4. Wow, looking good. So essentially you're trying to get the light, shadow, and basic values down before adding the other colors?
    Also, what size is the canvas?
