Drawing on Bristol
Note the difference in the two pieces. The composition works much better in the one on the left, and the image begins to make more visual sense. (click on image to see larger version)
This was after the advisement of the faculty who pointed out the dead spot there in the lower left and how knocking back the corner would improve the overall composition.

awesome!
can't wait to see the final painting, care to post it in wallpaper format here too? :)
Thank you for this process report.
Very cool! It almost looks like they are standing on the edge of the Chrysler building.
It is such a great inspiration to look at your blog from time to time.
I've tried to paint using your waterpaint/photoshop technique but haven't quite figured it out yet.
Do you describe anything regarding that technique in ImagineFX?
Anyway - looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.
Best regards
Emil Landgreen
I do go in to the technique a great deal in the IFX article. If you are interested in trying the method out I would say that the article has the most thorough explanation of it that I have given up to this point. ITs a really straightforward method, and it is the same technique that I am using here.
Really nice !
Amazing stuff here G...haven't been on in some time, but your work is very impressive. Think you can swing out a pic for the Steel City celebrating Lord Stanley meeting Vince Lombardi? Seriously, incredible work here...you make the rough ridaz proud!
