I think this might be my favorite piece so far in your Hobbit series. What a beautiful and well-rendered image! The smoke coming out of Smaug's nostrils and the details of the architecture are my favorite parts.
Damn! Man, these are looking better and better, this one is so good, easily the best of the series so far.. hands down. can't wait to see the finish! :x
Justin, I love your art. It's a very unique approach to combine real and digital medium into your pieces. If you publish your Hobbit art into a book, I'll be first in line.
I. Gallo's description of your projects-- recapturing your vision of Tolkien-- is a great one, & something I think about often. As much as I adore the movies, keeping your own coals burning, using the interpretation you developed, is super admirable.

Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. :)

Sir, I believe that in my opinion this may be the best one so far. You are so great at drawing monsters!
O the warmth of wealth. This is, as always, brilliant. Thank you!
W O W ! ! ! . . .
That is some freaking incredible depth man!
you have officially made John Howe's work look like 3rd grade finger paintings...
Hahaha :)
Bloody incredible as usual man

Wow Justin, these are fantastic. So appealing, I am looking forward to following your progress. Hat tip to Irene Gallo for pointing out your site.
I also have to thank Irene Gallo for pointing me here. Absolutely beautiful work.
